In need of a little inspiration? Checking out this list of Gandhi’s Top Ten Fundamentals is a great way to begin this week. I began to read about Gandhi when I was in the fifth grade at DeSoto Elementary School where I was challenged to enter a state-wide essay contest on integrity. As Mrs. Harmon sent us to the school library to research this word and find our own interpretation of what it meant to have integrity, I remember finding a book on Mohandas Gandhi. As I picked up the book and read more, I knew that if anyone embodied the word integrity, which I was learning about, it certainly had to be this man who dedicated his life to non-violent protest for social change and civil rights.
I recently came across this list of Gandhi’s Fundamentals. I love that the list begins with #1 Change Yourself and concludes with #10 Continue To Grow and Evolve. It’s genius– change, grow and then when you can change and grow again. Both #1 and #10 are essential to fulfilling 2 through 9 on the list.
I hope that you will look at this list this week. Maybe one of the fundamentals will strike you, make you think, challenge you, or cause you to take action!
