In need of a little inspiration? Checking out this list of Gandhi’s Top Ten Fundamentals is a great way to begin this week. I began to read about Gandhi when I was in the fifth grade at DeSoto Elementary School where I was challenged to enter a state-wide essay contest on integrity. As Mrs. Harmon sent us to the school library to research this word and find our own interpretation of what it meant to have integrity, I remember finding a book on Mohandas Gandhi. As I picked up the book and r
ead more, I knew that if anyone embodied the word integrity, which I was learning about, it certainly had to be this man who dedicated his life to non-violent protest for social change and civil rights.
I recently came across this list of Gandhi’s Fundamentals. I love that the list begins with #1 Change Yourself and concludes with #10 Continue To Grow and Evolve. It’s genius– change, grow and then when you can change and grow again. Both #1 and #10 are essential to fulfilling 2 through 9 on the list.
I hope that you will look at this list this week. Maybe one of the fundamentals will strike you, make you think, challenge you, or cause you to take action!
Happy Monday!
